My only concern is 5 minutes to process words? I think the app can be deployed with a set of preprocessed words to avoid the initial waiting but the app is ok

I didnt know that a food dictionary like this could exist. Have already used it in some Italian restaurants, and will definitely be on the next trip to Rome. Amazingly accurate. Congratulations to the writers for putting this together.

Works well. Pronunciations provided. Good workflow. Could use a speaking translator but this isnt the point.

I used this app, along with a standard Italian/English dictionary, on a recent trip to Italy. For fun, I tested the dictionaries against each other. After all, did I really need TWO dictionaries? Here’s one example why you shouldn’t be without this app. A menu listed Mozzarella in Carrozza. The standard dictionary suggested “carrozza” was a railroad car. Great…cheese in a railroad car…not helpful. “Translate Italian Dishes” explained that Mozzarella in Carrozza (in a carriage) is a “method of cooking Mozzarella cheese sandwiches. They are first dipped in whipped eggs, then coated with breadcrumbs and fried.” Case closed. Don’t reach for an Italian menu without this app on your smartphone.

I like the idea but there is a lot to do here. What i like in the app is a list of phrases. it will be certainly enough to have a good serve in a restaurant. while data downloading the app finished with Error and dictionary search did not work. The app is not adapted to ipad and i see cutted out edges already on main window. Needs many imrovements
